Yes. This is the primary feature of the 21000 external-mounting assembly. By unscrewing the outer dome cover, technician personnel can safely adjust the linear gap or replace the reverse-mount probe without shutting down the industrial process.
What is the purpose of the 4.0-inch standoff adapter (-40 option)?
The standoff adapter extends the housing dome 4 inches away from the machine casing. This is typically used to clear thermal insulation on the machine, navigate tight spaces, or position the terminal connection box further out for easier field maintenance.
