Detailed Description
330901-00-10-02-00-02 is a 3300 NSv Probe, 1/4-28 UNF thread, without armor. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable.
The NSv probe has increased chemical resistance compared to the 3300 RAM probe, which allows its use in many process compressor applications. The side-view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe are also superior to those of the 3000-series 190 probe when gapping the 3300 NSv probe at the same distance from the probe target.
The 3300 NSv probe comes in varying probe case configurations, including armored and unarmored 1/4-28, 3⁄8-24, M8X1 and M10X1 probe threads.
The reverse mount 3300 NSv probe comes standard with either 3⁄8-24 or M10X1 threads. All components of the transducer system have gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors.

Operational benefits
▲Enhanced Sideview Characteristics: Superior to 3000-series 190 probes when gapped at the same distance from the target, allowing reliable operation in confined spaces
▲Improved Chemical Resistance: Compared to legacy 3300 RAM probes, enabling use in process compressor applications where exposure to oils and chemicals is common
▲Robust Mechanical Design: Patented CableLoc technology provides 220 N (50 lb) pull strength; TiLoc molding ensures a durable bond between probe tip and body
▲Reliable Connectivity: Gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors lock securely to prevent loosening from vibration
▲Average Scale Factor: 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) – the industry standard for eddy current transducers, ensuring compatibility with existing monitoring systems

FAQ Section
What does the part number 330901-00-10-02-00-02 represent? |
This is a standard-mount 3300 NSv probe. Each segment defines a specific option: |
What is the difference between standard mount and reverse mount NSv probes? |
Standard mount probes (330901–330910) are designed for conventional mounting through the machine casing with the cable exiting away from the target. Reverse mount probes (330906, 330907) are designed for installations where the probe must be inserted from the opposite side, with the cable exiting toward the target. Reverse mount probes are not available with armor or connector protector options. |
Can this probe be used with existing 3300 RAM systems? |
Yes. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cables are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. For complete system upgrades, the Proximitor® sensor should also be replaced with the 3300 XL NSv version. |
What is the recommended gap setting for this probe? |
When used with a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor® sensor and proper extension cable, the recommended gap setting is 1.0 mm (40 mils), which positions the probe in the center of its 1.5 mm (60 mil) linear range. |
What is the maximum thread engagement length for a 1/4-28 probe? |
The recommended maximum thread engagement length is 0.375 inches (1.5 times the nominal thread diameter). Exceeding this may cause binding during installation. |
