What is the difference between standard mount and reverse mount NSv probes?

Standard mount probes (330901–330910) are designed for conventional mounting through the machine casing with the cable exiting away from the target. Reverse mount probes (330906, 330907) are designed for installations where the probe must be inserted from the opposite side, with the cable exiting toward the target. Reverse mount probes are not available with armor or connector protector options.

Can this probe be used with existing 3300 RAM systems?

Yes. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cables are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. For complete system upgrades, the Proximitor® sensor should also be replaced with the 3300 XL NSv version.

What is the recommended gap setting for this probe?

When used with a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor® sensor and proper extension cable, the recommended gap setting is 1.0 mm (40 mils), which positions the probe in the center of its 1.5 mm (60 mil) linear range.
