What is the difference between 330800 (English) and 330881 (Metric) models?

The 330881 series is the metric version of the PROXPAC XL. While both use the same probe and Proximitor® technology, the 330881 specifies standoff adapter (B dimension) and probe penetration (C dimension) in millimeters rather than inches. The selection of mounting thread options also differs to accommodate metric or NPT requirements.

Does this model include hazardous area approvals?

No. The "16" option indicates a 3300 XL 8 mm probe without approvals. If hazardous area certifications (ATEX, IECEx, cNRTLus) are required, you would need to select the "28" option (Multiple Approvals) instead. This non-approved configuration is suitable for general-purpose or non-hazardous installations.

What is the effective probe penetration after installation?

With a standoff adapter (B = 100 mm) and probe penetration (C = 110 mm), the total "B + C" dimension represents the mid-setting distance between the mounting surface and the target surface. The threaded sleeve allows ±12.7 mm (±0.5 in) adjustment from this point.
