The ROD630 900 28S0 is a robust incremental rotary encoder from the ROD 600 series, engineered for high-load industrial applications requiring precise angular position and speed feedback. It features a solid 15 mm diameter shaft with a machine key for secure torque transmission and is designed to withstand substantial axial and radial loads up to 75 N, making it suitable for direct coupling to heavy machinery, motors, and drives.
The encoder offers selectable line counts up to 5000 pulses per revolution, providing high resolution for motion control. Its scanning frequency supports up to 300 kHz, with a system accuracy of ±1/20 of the grating period. The device operates from a wide 10–30 VDC supply and includes a single reference mark per revolution for homing or index positioning.
