The Invensys Foxboro P0960JA CP40 Control Processor 40 is a high-performance I/A Series processor module designed for process automation and distributed control systems. It performs regulatory, logic, timing and sequential control together with connected Fieldbus Modules, Fieldbus Cluster I/O cards and migration integrator I/O. The CP40 also supports data acquisition, alarm detection and notification, and optional Panel Display Station interfacing. It can be used as a single-width module or configured as a fault-tolerant processor pair for enhanced system reliability.
