One Order Number, One H-System: Choosing the Correct CPU 414-5H Bundle
6ES7400-0HR02-4AB0 and 6ES7400-0HR52-4AB0 are not single CPU modules. Each ordering number identifies a coordinated SIMATIC S7-400H bundle containing two CPU 414-5H processors, two power supplies, one UR2-H rack and the required synchronization hardware.
Bundle Number or CPU Number?
The distinction changes the complete quotation scope.
Both bundles use the Siemens CPU 414-5H PN/DP. Siemens specifies 4 MB of memory—2 MB for program and 2 MB for data—and five interfaces: one MPI/DP, one PROFIBUS DP, one PROFINET and two synchronization-module interfaces.

For 120/230 V AC/DC supply Choose 6ES7400-0HR02-4AB0 Includes two PS407 UC 120/230 V, 10 A power supplies.
Typical decision: Use this bundle when the project documentation calls for PS407 power supplies or the control cabinet is designed around a 230 V AC supply.
Power-supply part number: 6ES7407-0KA02-0AA0
For 24/48/60 V DC supply Choose 6ES7400-0HR52-4AB0 Includes two PS405 24/48/60 V DC, 10 A power supplies.
Typical decision: Use this bundle when the plant standard, battery-backed control supply or cabinet documentation requires the PS405 DC version.

Critical ordering note: memory cards are not included
Siemens specifies that both bundles are supplied without memory cards. A complete purchasing plan must also account for 2 suitable memory cards and 4 backup batteries.
Seven Checks Before Requesting a Quote
Use these points to prevent a bundle, voltage or accessory mismatch.
- Confirm the complete bundle ordering number.
- Confirm PS407 AC/DC or PS405 DC power requirements.
- State whether memory cards must be included separately.
- State whether four backup batteries are required.
- Check whether the included 1 m cables fit the cabinet layout.
- Provide the existing CPU hardware and firmware information.
- Clarify whether the project is H or includes F/FH requirements.
“Up to 10 m” does not mean four 10 m cables
The description refers to the supported connection range of synchronization module 6ES7960-1AA06-0XA0. The bundle itself includes two 1 m fiber-optic synchronization cables, part number 6ES7960-1AA04-5AA0.
Buyer FAQ
Open a question to review the purchasing boundary.
Is 6ES7400-0HR02-4AB0 the same product as CPU 6ES7414-5HM06-0AB0?
No. 6ES7414-5HM06-0AB0 identifies one CPU 414-5H. The 6ES7400-0HR02-4AB0 ordering number identifies a complete H-system bundle containing two of those CPUs plus the rack, power supplies and synchronization hardware.
What is the main difference between the two bundle numbers?
The power-supply configuration. 6ES7400-0HR02-4AB0 contains two PS407 120/230 V AC/DC power supplies. 6ES7400-0HR52-4AB0 contains two PS405 24/48/60 V DC power supplies.
Are memory cards and backup batteries included?
No. Siemens states that the bundles are supplied without memory cards and that two memory cards plus four backup batteries are additionally required.
Does the H-system bundle automatically create a complete F/FH safety system?
No. Although CPU 414-5H can be used in corresponding H and F/FH architectures, these ordering numbers are described as H-system bundles. Safety applications require separate verification of the complete safety configuration, modules, software and licenses.
